L’atelier takes your project from conception to installation. We can start with your sketches and pictures to define your project, or work from existing architectural drawings. If needed we take field measures and create a set of drawings. Every project starts with a conceptual drawing which allows us to determine the scope of the project. From these drawings we establish an estimate for the realization. Mechanical drawings are made once the project is accepted and the final details are addressed. We use AutoCAD for all of our drafting which allows us great precision and facilitates communication with designers and architects through the Internet. We fabricate all of our mill work and furniture. Our craftsmen complete all facets of woodworking from rough lumber to installation. A wide scope of finishes are realized at or shop; from the hand-scraped and distressed of Country French to the mirror polished lacquers of Art Deco. Since most of our work is built and finished before installation, L’atelier can offer a very short installation time and complete projects far from our shop. We often start fabrication long before construction work has begun which greatly reduces the duration of projects.
